Fort Madison Community School District will begin using PowerSchool January 19th, 2011, the start of Semester 2.
Parent/Student Access to the PowerSchool Parent Portal
We
will be handing out instruction letters to Parents at Parent/Teacher
conferences containing login information. There will also be a tutorial
video for parents and students to watch as well. If parents are unable
to attend Parent/Teacher Conferences, their letters will be mailed.
- High School Parent/Teacher Conference - Feb 17
- Middle School Parent/Teacher Conference - Feb 22
- Elementary Schools Parent/Teacher Conference - March 3-4
What is PowerSchool?
PowerSchool
is a student information system used by many school districts in the
state of Iowa. PowerSchool is used for scheduling, taking attendance,
storing grades and more. PowerSchool provides parents and students with
immediate access to grades, assignments and attendance records.
The initial PowerSchool purchase was paid for using Microsoft Settlement Money.
With PowerSchool, you will be able to view:
- Grades and Attendance: View grades and attendance totals up to this point, for this school year
- Grades History: View all PREVIOUS TERMS grades for this school year
- Attendance History: View attendance details for this school year
- Email Notifications: Sign up for automatic email notifications from PowerSchool
- Teacher Comments: View all CURRENT TERM teacher comments
Who May Access PowerSchool?
All
teachers, school administrators, parents/guardians who have students in
Fort Madison Community School District and students may have access to
PowerSchool.
How Do I Request A Username and Password?
Information will be provided on how to obtain a username and password.
When Can I Access PowerSchool?
You
may access PowerSchool at anytime, day or night from any computer that
is connected to the Internet (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.).
