Lost and Found
All lost articles found on the school premises are placed in the lost and found box near the 14th Street entrance. Money, jewelry and such items are turned in at the office. Students may claim lost articles after proper identification. To help with the problem of unclaimed clothing, please write your child’s name on gloves, hats, jackets, etc. If you are at the school, we encourage you to look in the box. We have a lot of lost items.

School begins at 8:15 and ends at 3:15 except on early dismissal days. Early dismissal is always at 1:00. Students should not arrive at school before 8:00 unless they are eating breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7:45 to 8:10.
Report Absences
Report all absences to the school office by 9:00 each morning. Office staff will ask for a reason to determine if this is an excused absence. This Information Helps us keep track of what type of symptoms students are having so that we can watch for signs that a communicable disease is affecting our students.
Parent Teacher Group
The parent teacher organization provides the Lincoln School students with many benefits that improves the education and services of our school. Last year the PTG purchased a number of things giving teachers tools they need to be effective. With the help of PTG funds the school purchased:
· 2 LCD projectors,
· 10 Computers,
· Books and AR tests for the library,
· Appreciation Luncheon for staff,
· Scholastic News and Weekly Reader type classroom publications, and
· They reimbursed teachers for up to $200 worth of classroom supplies.
This organization raised funds by selling frozen food items and gift items in the fall and the carnival in the spring. The Lincoln Staff is very grateful for all of the parents who are willing to get involved in this organization’s work. Please consider volunteering for this organization. We want and need more parent involvement.
Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 5:15 PM. Everyone is welcome.

Transportation and Safety
Students should be dropped off on the west side of the school in the loading area. Please do NOT park there. This 14th Street loading zone is meant for you to pull up, drop off and keep moving. If you are driving south on 14th Street and students exit the car on the west side of the street, they should go to the corner and cross the street with the help of the crossing guard. PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM CROSS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLOCK WITH TRAFIC GOING BOTH DIRECTIONS!
Buses will be loading and unloading on the south side of the block on Avenue F. Please do not park there or unload in that area. Your cooperation will keep every child and adult safe.
